Catching up....

Actually, I'll never catch up here since I am sooooooo far behind.

Today is the first time in nearly 3 months that I didn't have seven kids at home. I miss them, but it sure was quiet here today, and I got a lot done. The 4 grandkids were home with their mom today, so that was good. Hoping that things will continue to improve and that she will be home and able to take care of them now.

On May 25th, we moved into a small house that we bought here in Casper. It was a repo house, in need of a LOT of repair. Richard has completely remodeled the bathroom on the main floor. It had been remodeled....in a very strange way....so he was really just putting it back pretty much as it had originally been. We are texturing all of the upstairs walls, replacing doors and have a garage full of windows to replace all of the windows and the front door. Anyone want to come help??

We will soon be starting on gutting the basement, tearing out most of the existing walls and putting in new drywall throughout. Once that is done, we will have quite a bit of more room than we have now with just the upstairs. Since Richard is doing most of the work himself, it is a slow project, but is getting done step by step.

We are getting more and more involved in our local church. I will be helping in VBS in a couple of weeks, working with 3rd and 4th grade. Richard and Janelle will be helping next week with the youth group, working to get the local Baptist camp ready for camping season. It is a good opportunity for Janelle to mix with the youth, work on English as well as social skills. The church has asked us to set up some kind of mission trip for next year to China...so we are making inquiries about that. Richard will be preaching in a couple of weeks in the Hispanic service.

We have friends from Oregon coming out for a visit next week. It will be so fun to have them here. If you are planning to drive through from east to west or from west to east, and are driving through Wyoming....please plan to stop through to visit. We would love to see you.
