Tomorrow is Chinese New Year. Since the Chinese in our home outnumber the non-Chinese, we decided we would celebrate this year. OK, maybe not quite like in China, but with red lanterns, Chinese food and red envelopes of money for the kids. When MinMin saw the envelopes she said to the other kids, "Money". She knew exactly what was supposed to be in them. Of course, they may have been the only Chinese kids to receive red envelopes with Mexican pesos in them. We also put on some Chinese music during dinner, and MinMin sang along with many of them. Even Taylor got excited about the music. He sang along with a couple, like he remembered the music/songs from over 1 1/2 years ago when he lived in China.
Over all, the kids enjoyed themselves---that was the important thing!

Starla,
You are so good to make sure the kids have great memories and celebrations of their homeland. The pictures are wonderful. Love you all.
Happy New Year to the whole Kull family.
We think of you often, and love keeping up with you via your blog. We hope you enjoyed the article about Taylor and Ellie on page 14 of http://www.holtintl.org/hifamilies/pdfs/1.2008.pdf
Ellie remembers "Taylor Ning and his family" in her prayers every night.

Sounds like a nice time. We did just about the same thing. I think Min Min's beauty stands out. She is gorgeous!
I like Min's hair too! Is she itching for a haircut, or does she like it too? She even has a pretty shirt on! Wow!
